Critical, Adaptive and Inventive Thinking

In an increasingly BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Nonlinear, Incomprehensible) world, we empower our students to be adaptable, resilient and critical thinkers. Through our focus on Critical, Adaptive and Inventive Thinking (CAIT), we prepare our students to embrace change, solve complex problems and contribute meaningfully to the community. CAIT skills enable students to use sound reasoning and critical thinking to inform decision-making, generate novel and useful ideas to address challenges, and manage complexities and ambiguities to adapt to changing situations.

Communication, Collaboration and Information Skills

A key enabler of confidence-building at Orchid Park is our students’ ability to apply Communication, Collaboration and Information (CCI) skills effectively in dynamic contexts. CCI skills are interpersonal abilities that help our students communicate information, ideas and feelings clearly. These skills also enable our students to collaborate effectively with others, while managing, creating, and sharing information responsibly and ethically. At Orchid Park, every Orchidian becomes an effective and empathetic communicator. Here are some examples.

Civic, Global and Cross Cultural Literacy

Here at Orchid Park, students are provided with numerous opportunities to develop Civic, Global and Cross-Cultural Literacy (CGC). Through our holistic curriculum, our students learn to interact respectfully and empathetically with others. As responsible citizens of Singapore and the world, they learn to work with diverse groups to achieve shared goals. Equipped with these values, skills and dispositions, the future-ready Orchidian contributes constructively to the community and nation, shaping a better future for all.
